In an attempt to understand why some clients who stopped binging with the Never Binge Again Intensive didn't reach goal weight—and why others started binging again—we surveyed 798 past readers and clients, and interviewed dozens of super-successful
"weight loss winners" who'd reached goal and remained there (most for more than one year)... |

A common theme emerged: Clients who successfully lose weight and maintain it with seemingly no effort are almost always hyper-motivated. Virtually all have found a way to enter a ‘dream like', happy, and energized state which propels them through the weight loss process. More importantly, the further along the journey they go, the happier and more motivated they become.
Even more surprisingly, this ‘Flow State' seems to persist even after clients reach goal. These weight loss winners do NOT gain all their weight back. In fact, most gain none back at all. They're
simply at goal and ecstatic about it for a LONG PERIOD of
time...

Disclaimer: Adrienne took our main program, not the

Now, you must understand, this is not normal. MOST people who achieve even partial success with weight loss adapt to it fairly quickly. It's like it becomes
"old news" and, within a few short weeks (months at most),
their motivation starts to slip...

Intrigued, we dug a LOT deeper and decided to study people DURING the weight loss process too, and discovered something fascinating: In this
"Flow State" people lose weight with far fewer setbacks—which means it comes off
faster...
They often also lose more weight than their counterparts who haven't achieved flow, not because they're
"grinding their teeth" and starving themselves, but because they are so happily focused, they are able to remain consistent. They don't allow anything to derail them. As a result, steady, reliable weight loss is almost effortless for them.

These pitfalls are kind of like "Flow State Mine Fields": If you don't' know how to avoid and/or diffuse them, they repeatedly blow you out of flow and prevent you from achieving goal ☹.
Now, even our most naturally happy and motivated clients report having sometimes taken years to figure out how to do this. Thankfully this program reveals their ‘best of breed' strategies in a matter of weeks!
But first let's review the most common pitfalls in a little more detail because

As you'll shortly see, the challenges you've been facing in your weight loss journey are not related to willpower or lack thereof. And almost always, just understanding the challenge goes a long way towards solving it! Unfortunately, we can't effectively teach you how to avoid and/or diffuse ALL the pitfalls here, so let's just tackle a few of the bigger ones, OK?
Pitfall #1:
Infrequent
Overeating and Binging Habits That Derail Weight Loss and Chip Away at Your Motivation and Confidence
Here's something important most people don't know: Overeating and binging is NOT a unitary problem extinguishable with a single effort. Rather, it's a
collection of destructive habits—usually a half dozen or more—which must be extinguished one by one.
Some habits occur daily, like overeating at the end of a meal or nighttime eating, etc., but others occur on a less frequent basis. Weekend overeating is a good example, as are restaurant binges. But there are still other destructive habits which happen
very infrequently, like holiday overeating, vacations binges
(or upon returning home), wedding event binges, etc.
The problem is, most people only bother to extinguish
daily habits during our Intensive program. They accept
infrequent habits as "just part of life"...
This is a serious mistake! Because over longer stretches of time these infrequent habits prevent them from reaching goal weight, and tear away at their self-esteem and motivation.
But you do NOT have to accept infrequent overeating as a fact of life, because with just a bit more planning, we can create a simple strategy to extinguish
every last one of your infrequent
destructive habits too...
Which means you can lose weight more consistently, reliably, and enjoyably! And that translates to a faster path to your goal, and more confidence along the way... all without having to starve yourself!
(Which doesn't work anyway.)
Pitfall #2:
Dwindling Motivation
as You Get Thinner
This is one is a REAL
Catch-22...
Most peoples' initial effort to lose weight is originally driven by the desire to become better looking and healthier. But then, as they actually BECOME thinner and healthier, this motivation disappears. It's like they're saying to themselves:
"Look, I WANTED to be thin, and now I AM thin, so what's
the point?"
Their motivation naturally weakens as they approach goal because, for all intents and purposes, they feel like they've won the game. This feeling is a serious problem though, because what's actually required to shed the last 10 to 20 pounds is
more precise adherence, more focus and more determination. The
"Last Mile" is the hardest, and when you need the MOST motivation, but in the natural course of events it's when you have the least
☹...
This is why so many people can't seem to cross that
"Last Mile." But even when they DO make it to goal, the same thing happens: They've done it, so there's no longer any target to chase or goal to achieve. Their motivation disappears and they slip back into old habits and regain the weight.
However...
We've learned LOT about the kinds of motivation that do NOT fade on the way to becoming permanently thin. By picking the right motivation for each
stage of weight loss, then purposefully intensifying it to a roaring flame, you can enthusiastically break through weight loss goals which were previously unattainable.
Pitfall #3: Not Cultivating
Another Source of Excitement to Replace Food
For almost all binge eaters, food has been a primary source—if not the only source—of desire and excitement for years, if not decades. They've thought about it lovingly, fantasized about it, and invested much if not most of their creative energy into making and finding delicious food. Most have become accustomed to finding joy in new and exciting dishes—or just weird late night combinations.
(For example, before she stopped binging, one of our Master Coaches could only satisfy her desire for novelty by creating crazy food-combinations like cauliflower and Jam or sardines and apples).
In fact, after working with thousands of people, we now believe binge eaters are a more highly passionate bunch with a significantly greater need for excitement and novelty.
The recovery trick is to hook your passion onto a new
constructive habit instead.
Thankfully we've discovered a very simple (and enjoyable) process for finding such a habit. And the
"icing on the cake" is that so doing you'll also dramatically increase the odds of transforming your life entirely...to the point where binging or overeating feels like no more than a silly distraction.
Pitfalls #4 to #11: The
